Our little trooper! Well all I can say is thank you all for your prayers today! God is and has been so good to us!! Maddie did so well all the way down there (had to get her up and out the door at 3:50am) and was an angel for the doctors and nurses. She even left us and went with the doctors without crying, as most of you know that has always been the hard one for me. The surgery lasted 2 hours and we got to see her within 3 1/2 hours. The doctors said that everything went well and that they were able to cut the growth plate's and remove some fatty tissue but the veins and nerves are about 3 times the normal size so there is not much to be done. They told us they pulled the skin over as much as they could to take up some of the space. When we got there this morning they were going to make us stay but once again God granted us mercy and we got to come home and even earlier then we ever thought we would! Once she could take down juice and not vomit then we were good to go with Codeine in hand and you did not have to ask Don and I twice for that one, we were OUT OF THERE!! Maddie has pain but once we got the
Medicine in her she has not complained much only that she is ready to take the "thing" off of her arm. She cried at first and is starting to do better. I am sure that she will have good days and bad days. Oh and the other HUGH answer to prayer is that the doctor said we could take it off at 4 weeks and not the 6!!!! So I got right on the phone and we have an appointment for removal on May 21st!! Thank you all once again for all you prayers and calls and love that you have given us!

Maddie at home already drinking with one hand! With her new friend Bambi and thumper too.

Day at Crystal Cove on Monday playing in the sand. I wanted her to have fun in the sand before the cast went on.

Wonderful. We'll continue to pray for you guys and precious little Maddie.
What great news! God will sustain you and show you when the right time is for the following surgeries. I will be praying as the Lord reminds me of you guys! Blessings,
